Artwork

Here are my first 3D creature designs that I have posted on this blog. These were all done with Zbrush.

Hexator
The first creature was my attempt at bringing my fantasy creature ideas in a 3D format and come out close to what I imagined. I saw this animal as being perfectly built for ambush with two sets of eyes. The front pair, like a cats, made for seeing colour, light and depth, and the back pair for tracking movement and heat. Two forearms, connected to each elbow of the front pair of legs gives this creature twice the slashing power and good for holding onto branches while waiting for prey in the trees.

Scarab
This second creature was me trying to create an insect but make it large and heavily built almost like a human body builder. I tried to make the plates of this man-sized bug like muscles and bones of the human anatomy. I made the middle pair of limbs like a pair of arms made for touching and feeling since I imagined this animal to have a subterranean  lifestyle. It is based heavily off the scarab beetle of Egyptian culture.
